Södertälje, Sweden

1

Södertälje is a small town in Sweden, next to the capital Stockholm. Guto’s sister lives there, she’s married to a Swedish guy. And that’s why we chose this place as one of our destinations.

We spent a week among family, getting to know friends and doing some Swedish things: from looking for (and finding) wild mooses on the fields to watching a live hockey game (with fights and everything).
Sweden is well known for its organized cities and mesmerizing landscapes, and we could see for ourselves that it’s all true. Here are some of the pictures we took while we were there.

Södertälje isn’t a rural city, but still has some countryside habits.
Owning a horse, for example, is quite common.

This is the symbol of Södertälje: an old fat lady holding a pretzel.
Why? We couldn’t find out, and are still ver curious about it.

Of course we took the chance to get to know Stockholm.
The city has many islands, and that’s why it’s normal to move around by boat. Not only it’s a safe and efficient transportation, it makes the surroundings even more beautiful.

When the fall season begins, it starts to get cold, and the restaurants offer blankets to the costumers!

The symbol of the Swedish royal Family are the three crowns.
By the way, did you know that Sweden has a royal family? And that the queen, Silvia, was raised in Brazil?

Valeu, pessoal! =D

Ju, Guto’s sister, along with her husband Eric and his very sweet and welcoming family, made our stay in Sweden one of the best parts of the trip. Thank you so much for everything, guys! =D
